Media Literacy Education Research Summit

Friday, June 22 through Sunday, June 24
Immediately prior to NMEC 2007, the AMLA will host the first-ever U.S. Media Literacy Education Research Summit. The 2-day Summit will feature presentations by an international group of experts from the fields of public health, communications, education, fine and performing arts and others. The summit will allow researchers from disparate fields to build an awareness of existing research about an efficacy of media literacy education and work to develop a research agenda for the future. Participants will also suggest guidelines for best practice in classrooms and other education venues.
